Windows Update automatically pushed out KB4493451 to a Windows Server 2012-instance I manage. In the Windows Event Viewer, I can see that "A reboot is necessary before package KB4493451 can be changed to the Installed state."
Today I've read news that this specific update causes big issues when combined with Sophos which I use (such as failure to boot, freezes, etc).
Since the machine may not boot with this update installed, I don't feel like rebooting the server to finalize the installation. But on the other hand I'm not sure if it's safe to uninstall the update when the machine is in this "pending installation state".
My concrete question is
whether it would be safe to uninstall the update using the command below, despite the update is already partially installed.
